Sara Ramirez

Sara Ramirez is a popular Mexican-American actress singer and songwriter. When she was a kid, Sara was racially taunted by many people in America. After entering a ninth-grade school audition, where she received high praise for her voice as she built confidence. The experience not only boosted her self-confidence but also changed the direction she wanted to go in her career. At the age of 22 she was a graduate of the New York's Julliard School. She started her professional journey at the age of 23 in Paul Simon's The Capeman on Broadway and the film You've Got Mail. Her biggest break came with her performance as The Lady of The Lake, in the first Broadway adaptation of Spamalot. The show won her the Tony Award and received great reviews for her performance. The following year, in 2007, she was cast on the ABC series Grey's Anatomy and became more popular. Also, she is a well-known artist and published an extended version of her play. She also works as an LGBT activist.
