Zoe-perry
Perry was born July 25, 1968 in Chicago in Illinois. She was the daughter of Laurie Metcalf Perry and Jeff Perry. In the ABC sitcom Roseanne (as shown in flashback) Her mother portrayed Jackie Harris in two of Perry's first TV roles. Her parents did not allow her to begin acting with her parents till an adulthood stage, because they were concerned about the anxiety it could cause. Perry, who was too shy for acting in school, began performing in theater classes at Northwestern University because she wanted to meet new people. Following her graduation, Perry went to New York to search for TV work, landing a few roles in series like Law & Order: Criminal Intent However, she was stricken by homelessness and brought Perry back home to California where she found acting work. Perry's mother and I appeared on Broadway together in The Other Place, in 2013. In 2015 she performed alongside her father as well as Kevin McKidd in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize-winning film Anna Christie on the Odyssey Theatre Ensemble in West Los Angeles. Perry played a lead role in nine episodes of ABC's show The Family. Her father played her on The ABC show Scandal. She also played the older Mary Cooper in Young Sheldon - a CBS spin-off from The Big Bang Theory. Despite the fact that she has a connection with her family to the character, she was offered the role through an audition.
